Rear Drive Test underway for Corvair!

Mike Garbez, a Corvair enthusiast has built an airboat to test the Type 4/Corvair Rear Drive. Our Type 4 Rear Drive attaches to the Corvair with a Corvair to VW Adapter (about $200). Mike's Corvair powered airboat hit the water on September 8. So far so good! This 6 cylinder Corvair is one of the 110 hp series engines. (Note: Engine, as used, does not produce 110 hp at 3000 rpm.) This Rear Drive engine is swinging a 3 bladed 68 inch diameter prop. We will keep you informed right here.

Great Plains purchases "CARR TWIN PLANS" from Carr Precision
