| Great Plains Low Height Fixed Timing Secondary Ignition System | |

| The GPAS Secondary Ignition is the most popular Secondary Ignition marketed today. This ignition system fits in the stock VW distributor hole and will require the use of a pinion gear. Total height off the engine case is about 1.750". This unit has fixed advance as set upon installation. This unit will fire spark plug gaps up to .040". By comparison, a magneto's spark plug gap is .016" to .019". The engine is started on the magneto and then the secondary is turned on. Do not attempt to start your engine with the secondary on as it can severely damage your engine. | |

| These innovative Spark Plug Adapters connect the standard Slick M2266 Shielded Spark Plug Harness to a standard VW automotive spark plug. They feature full noise suppression and are easy to install. No special tools are required. Simply reduce the automotive spark plug gap to .017" and install the spark plug as you normally would. Push the spark suppressor over the plug, install the housing and set screw - then hook up the harness! That's all there is to it!
The spark plug adapters are precision machined from 6061T6 aluminum and will last the life of your aircraft. The spark plug suppressor is replaceable if you accidentally break or lose one. Vertex Magneto The Vertex Mag is the oldest VW magneto based ignition system going. The mag simply plugs in to the stock VW distributor hole. You will need the pinion gear also if you use this. The Vertex Mag is commonly used on aircraft where the engine is bolted to the firewall and no room exists on the back side of the firewall for a protruding Slick Magneto. | Compu-Fire Ignition System | |
| The compu-Fire Ignition System can be used as a primary or secondary ignition system. The Compu-Fire system requires the use of the Bosch 009 distributor, clamp and pinion gear which must be ordered separately. This system replaces the points, rotor and distributor cap on the 009 which makes for a lower height distributor. |  |
