Engine Mounts!

Great Plains Aircraft offers a wide variety of engine mounts for VW powered homebuilt aircraft. Most engine mounts are manufactured from 5/8" .049" wall 4130 chrome-moly tubing. All mounts are jig welded to insure proper fit and alignment.

Mounts are available for the Dragonfly, 701, KR-1, KR-2 and KR-2S and the Kitfox and Avid Flyer. We also have an Universal Engine Mount too!

Dragonfly Engine Mount
	Fits the later style Dragonfly kits where the mount bolts directly to the firewall, not the aluminum channel. The mount is designed to fit TASK style firewalls. With the inverted U cross attach bracket on top, the mount is capable of using either a Top mount starter (recommended) or the standard Bottom mount starter. The engine side of the mount is made for the Diehl Accessory Case. Requires 8 each 71032 Lycoming Bushings sold separately.

Fits a later model KitFox or Avid Flyer. The mount uses our 71032 Lycoming Bushings for vibration isolation and not included in this price..

701 Engine Mount For use with the Reduction Drive.
This 701 Engine Mount is used for the Reduction Drive. Mount lowers the engine 5 inches - so the thrust line is per plans. NOTE: The 701 Requires the use of the 9 o clock Diehl Accessory Case! Needs 8 each 71032 Lycoming engine bushings and not included in this price.	701 Engine Mount $469.95

UNIVERSAL ENGINE MOUNT
	Fits many VW powered homebuilt aircraft. It is designed to bolt directly to the VW engine case. Used with the KR series of homebuilts when you are not using an accessory case. The mount uses our 1002-2 engine mount bushing set ($16.95) for vibration isolation.
