Great Plains "Top Bug" Long Block Engine Kits are simply the best and most complete long block kits available. They are the only long block kits available that are specifically engineered for aircraft and the "do it yourself" individual. Each kit contains all the parts necessary to assemble a Long Block Engine. All the major machine work has been done, such as crankshaft tapering, cylinder head and case boring, stroke relieving, connecting rod contouring, welding, and balancing.

To complete your engine, simply choose from one of our Accessory Packages. Check out our Accessory Packages here. These Accessory Packages provide the items to complete your engine and get it ready to mount onto your aircraft. A variety of Accessory Packages are available to fit every budget.

NOTE: You will also need a carb, exhaust system, engine mount, spinner and prop to complete your Firewall Forward Package

This optional upgrade package includes Premium 042 Heads, new rocker arms, 4140 chrome moly dual port stud kit (200% stronger than stock), new I beam connecting rods (stronger & lighter than stock) and upgrade engine case kit that features hex head plugs. The Premium Upgrade Kit can be added to any Front Drive Long Block Engine Kit for $219.95.
