Prop Hubs for your VW Engine!

No other manufacturer offers such a wide variety of prop hubs for use on the VW engine.
All prop hubs are made from 4140 steel and have a beautiful black oxide finish.
All prop hubs feature a 5" diameter face with 6 each, 5/16" holes for the prop on 4" centers.
The prop pilot is 3/8" long and 2" in diameter.

Each prop hub kit includes a face plate, washer, bolt and cotter key if needed.

Shrink Fit Prop Hub
	Installation Instructions
The Shrink Fit Prop Hub is the oldest prop hub design currently made. This hub extends out 1.5" to the face of the hub from the engine when installed on the crankshaft. As its name implies, this is a shrink fit hub. It has approximately a .002" to .003" interference fit on the nose of the crankshaft. The hub is heated to about 400º F to install. The Shrink Fit Prop Hub features reverse threads that sling oil back into the case and eliminating the need for a seal. Torque to 60 ft. lbs. using Blue Locktite after sizing the bolt. Recommended use is with standard 69mm VW crankshafts and 1/2 VW engines only. Will not fit Type 4 VW.

Standard 3 Degree Tapered Prop Hub
	Installation Instructions
The Standard 3 Degree Tapered Prop Hub is used on Dragonflys, KRs and others when using the standard 69mm VW crankshaft. The hub extends out 2.5" from the engine case. The crankshaft must be tapered to receive this hub. The oil slinger must be modified by cutting 3 each 1/4" wide tabs on the I.D. of the oil slinger and bending them forward to engage the prop hub. In addition, a seal should always be used. The seal is attached to the nose of the case with JB Weld Epoxy Cement. Crankshaft should be deep drilled also, so that the retaining load is spread throughout the nose of the crankshaft. NOTE: Tapered Cranks may not be in stock.

The Force One Prop Hub and Main Bearing are the ultimate choice for reliability and durability. This combination must be used on stroker crankshafts, all Type 4 crankshafts and can be used on stock 69mm crankshafts for increased reliability. The Force One kit provides over 4 times the radial load bearing area than a standard VW bearing. In addition, because the prop hub rides in the bearing the effective diameter of the crankshaft nose is increased by over 50%. Your Type 1 or Type 4 engine case will need to be machined to use the Force One kit. The Force One Prop Hub extends out about 3.5" from the engine case. A complete Force One Kit includes the Hub, bearing and seal kit. Machine work is not included in the kit price.
