REBUILD SERVICE
Type 1 VW

	Great Plains Aircraft Engine Rebuilding Service for VW powered sport aircraft engines. We can rebuild your HAPI, Mosler, TEC, RevMaster, Monnett Experimental or Aero Vee engine. With our 22 plus years of experience, we can rebuild your engine and restore the lost power so that you can fly with total confidence in your engine. In addition, because your engine was rebuilt by GPASC, we issue a Great Plains Aircraft Engine Rebuild Certificate, which you can furnish to your insurance company for insurance.
Our rebuilding service begins at $1320.00. This service includes disassembly, reassembly, new main, rod and cam bearings, a gasket set with rear seal, a lock nut kit and new piston rings. We also check the engine case for align bore, and machine the case, if necessary, The cylinder heads are completely rebuilt and include new valves, guides, springs, retainers, springs, and keepers. New valve seats can be installed for an additional charge. Additional parts or machine work to the engine will increase cost. Older stroker engines may need an upgraded crankshaft and prop hub to make them airworthy. Some older HAPI engines will require the flywheel, mag drive and alternator to be replaced. The cost of these replacement parts is $480.00 and $45.00 for the machine work to the HAPI Accessory Case.
