This KR1 was built by Steve in 1973 and first flew on July 21, 1977.
The KR-1 featured an 1835cc VW engine, single ignition magnetto.
Sold in 1988 after 1500 hours of fun flying!
Current aircraft is a KR1-1/2 built by Ken Cottle. It features a Great Plains 2180cc VW Engine, dual ignition, top mounted Ellison EFS-2 carb.

He flew out on Sunday morning and got stopped in Pittsburg, Kansas. The storm front was just north and he needed to wait it out. He flew out of Pittsburg around 7 AM on Monday. Returned to Omaha, Nebraska. He arrived 4 hours before his ground crew of Linda, Mike & Teri Garbez!
